I had a guy buy me several beers at a bar one time. After he wanted to play pool. He kept trying to give me pointers on how to hold the cue and was getting awfully close in the process. About half way through the game he started to hint around that he wanted to leave and was asking me if I had any plans. It was quite obvious that he wanted me to head home with him.

Excellent point Leolaia. Kid-A would have worked 5.6 years worth of forty hour work weeks. Doesn't seem like you got off all that easy now, does it Kid-A?
I would also venture to say that the average time is much greater when considering all the time consumed by grooming, traveling to / fro meetings and socializing with brothers / sisters.
Based on approximately 18 years of imprisonment I would estimate approximately 12,456 hours (=519 days, =74.1 weeks, =1.4 years, or 5.9 years of 40 hour work weeks).

This is nothing but a political stunt on the part of the Governor. Same thing goes for all parties complaining about high gas prices. Pure politics considering the crude oil market is a free market.
Although I agree that this governer's tactics are pure politics I would hardly say that the crude oil market is a "free market". Ever heard of OPEC?

I couldn't help but notice a silent pause after they asked you if you were recording the conversation. For those of us enjoying this recording it was quite obvious that the pause was due to the fact that you were getting ready to lie. Next time shorten up that gap and tell them no immediately. You did a wonderful job recovering though by bringing out the camera and snapping the photo. They were so distracted by the photo that I think they totally forgot that they asked you if you were recording. You also did a fantastic job of pretending to delete the picture. What dolts!

Your "New" Traditions?
by whyamihere ingrowing up as a jw, we were never allowed to have holidays or birthday's etc..... never able to show my brothers affection on their special day killed me.
now every year, i sing "happy birthday" to my brothers nick and ben.
i call them on their birthday, if they pick up the phone i yell and tell them i am going to leave a voice mail message.

I have difficulty still with holidays and birthdays other than my childrens. It just plain awkward for me. I always forget my parents anniversary and never remember my brothers or sisters birthdays either.
My wife love Christmas and that's an extremely difficult holidy for me to enjoy. One tradition that I started five or six years ago was to fast on the winter solstice. That is my official observance of the holiday.

Happy anniversary PoppyR. I just celebrated 7 years with my wife on the 19th. Close enough to 420 to enjoy a little herbal discussion.
